Hello! My name is Jennifer Thomas. I grew up in Leesville, SC and graduated high school from Batesburg-Leesville High School in 1995. I graduated from North Greenville University in 1999 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Shortly after college graduation, I became employed by Saluda School District One, where I taught third grade at Saluda Elementary School for 7 years. In 2006, my family and I moved to Winchester, Virginia. In Winchester, I taught third grade for 2 years at Virginia Avenue Charlotte DeHart Elementary School. While in Virginia, I received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia. In 2008, I received National Board Certification in the area of Early Childhood Generalist. During the summer of 2008, my family and I moved back to Leesville, SC. I served as the Instructional Coach at Hollywood Elementary School form 2008-2016. I truly love being back in Saluda County and being a part of the Hollywood Elementary School family. I completed my Education Specialist Degree in Administration and Supervision through Clemson University in May 2013. I am very excited to work with Hollywood's students, teachers, and parents as the school's Assistant Principal.
I have been married to my husband, Gary Thomas, for nineteen years. We have a thirteen year old daughter named Anna Grace. She is a 8th grader at Saluda Middle School. We also have a five year old son named Owen, who is a kindergarten student at Hollywood. We are all very active members of Lake Murray Baptist Church. My family and I enjoy watching football (Go Clemson Tigers!), going camping, swimming, and spending time with our family and friends.
